Who are we?

We are a charity based in the Orkney Islands supporting women, children, and young people affected by domestic abuse. Established in 2000, we have over two decades of experience providing safe, compassionate, and confidential support within our community.

We offer one‑to‑one emotional and practical support to those who need us, alongside three secure, self‑contained refuge flats for women and children seeking safety. Our work is rooted in empowerment, dignity, and hope, and we play a vital role in supporting individuals to rebuild their lives.

We are now seeking committed and enthusiastic individuals to join our Board and help shape the future of our organisation.

Meetings are held the last Monday of every month and you do not have to be based in the Orkney Islands to share your expertise.
